Ar. Ashwini Dixit is a self-employed landscape architect located in Mumbai. She has worked intensively in the domains of ecological, industrial, residential, and religious landscape architecture since last 20 years. At the moment, her main projects include terraces, podiums, industrial campuses, residential townships, and religious ecological sites. She collaborates with numerous architects, developers, and horticulturists around the nation, depending on the needs of the project.
With roots in the culturally vibrant city of Akola, Maharashtra, Ashwini learned about plants from her parents, who lived in a house surrounded by a wide range of trees and plants. Her mother, a renowned professor of botany, also gave her nuanced insights into the world of botany. She learned the value of large flowering and fruit-bearing trees, bushes, herbs, and vegetables in her own kitchen garden because she spent her early years surrounded by greenery. She has been involved in Marathi festivities in Akola since she was a little child, therefore she naturally developed a fondness for designing Rangolis of different sizes, colours, and designs. Her passion for design and her love of the outdoors drew her to the field of landscape architecture.
